About Me | Haley Forté

Hey my name is Haley Forté. I am a blogger from SoCal. I am twenty and I am pretty much an eighty year old women living in a young adult's body. I love reading, writing, hot teas, old movies, and lying around with my cat. So check out my blog and maybe get some insight on what goes on inside my head! I am an aspiring writer and avid reader.

I have always enjoyed writing. When I was in sixth grade I wrote a short fiction story based off of Kerli's music video to her song Walking on Air. Unfortunately I have lost this file and have no way to retrieve it. From then I started writing my dreams down in an old journal, which like the file, I have lost. I started getting serious about my writing mostly in my junior year in high school.

Also the summer before. From the moment I could read I was fascinated by books in general. I was always the one in school that looked forward to the summer lists that we had in elementary school. Now that I am older I have fallen in love with fictitious literature even more. Now besides reading and wanting to publish a book, I am also a dancer. Yet I know that I won't be able to dance forever so I have my books to keep me happy in life. I understand I am only nineteen, but in my opinion it is never too late to start planning for my future.

I grew up in a small town in Washington St. but live in California now. I miss the northwest and plan on moving back when I am older. I love the rain and the cold so I get very excited when it rains where I currently live. I am doing this blog simply out of boredom. This blog will mostly just be about my life with writing, dance, my travels, and anything else I find interesting. It is just my thoughts, hence the title.

I listen to a lot of music. One of my favorite artists is James Vincent McMorrow. His voice is just so peaceful. I always have his album on repeat when I am writing. Well, right now the song Yellow by Coldplay is on, but whatever.

Some people might call me anti-social, well I mean I am talking to the internet. Anyways, I am not anti-social. I just like to keep to myself. I have anxiety when it comes to crowds and very public places. It is so bad I won't even go to a mall or a movie theater sometimes. It has impacted my life, but I am slowly getting through it. You can read my post about it here: My Inner Monsters

I honestly don't know if anyone will ever read this blog. I am just putting myself out for everyone to see and hope for the best. I have a lot of issues and things in my life such as my anxiety that I would like to get over, maybe we could get over it together?

  1. I love that reasoning! 'Some people might call me anti-social... I'm talking to the internet' I'm exactly the same way! Thanks for commenting on my blog so I could find yours, we have so much in common. I'm a dancer too and I love reading. I'm also a big anxious introvert. X
